Sullivan & Triggs Welcomes Jean Ralph Fleurmont as Senior Associate

LOS ANGELES, Calif. / WASHINGTON, D.C. — Mr. Fleurmont joins Sullivan & Triggs from Williams & Connolly LLP, one of the nation's preeminent trial firms.

Mr. Fleurmont's practice centers on complex civil and criminal litigation, internal investigations, and high-stakes disputes involving individuals, law firms, corporations, and other organizations. His recent matters include representing the former CEO of a biotechnology company, Elizabeth Holmes, in a wire fraud case in the Northern District of California; defending a major law firm in a malpractice action that resulted in dismissal of all counts; representing major media networks in a copyright infringement action that concluded in summary judgment in their favor; and serving as counsel for a former head coach in the National Football League in a breach of contract dispute. He also represented the former President and Defense Minister of a Latin American country in what is believed to be the first civil trial in the United States against a former head of state of a foreign nation.

He graduated with honors from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as an Executive Editor of The Georgetown Law Journal, a member of the moot court team, and as a Writing Fellow. He also holds a Master's degree in Psychology from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Montclair State University.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Fleurmont clerked for the Honorable Pamela A. Harris of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and for the Honorable Emmet G. Sullivan of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

At Sullivan & Triggs, Mr. Fleurmont joins the firm's litigation group alongside Sheldon Eisenberg, Courtney Elgart, and Stephanie Command. The group pairs the depth and experience of large-firm practice with the responsiveness and personal attention a smaller firm can offer. The group represents clients in high-stakes commercial disputes, including bet-the-company disputes, with a focus on the entertainment industry and other high profile disputes.

Mr. Fleurmont is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
